It is with sadness that the family of Doug Cocks announces the passing of their Husband, Father and Grandfather. Doug was predeceased by his parents, John and Lydia (nee Nieumiller) Cocks of Leader, SK; his sister Jean Stolz; his nephew Richard; and a grandson Lane. Doug will be lovingly remembered by his wife Dorothy Marquart Cocks; his two sons and their families, Douglas John Jr. (Tammy Basque) of Grande Prairie and Patrick James (Kimberley Barlow) of Sylvan Lake; his precious grandchildren, Joel Kopp, Brodie and Delaynee of Grande Prairie, Molly and Hudson of Sylvan Lake; his sister Susan (Mic) Moroz of Osoyoos; his two brothers, Jim (Helen) Cocks of Leader, SK, and Daniel (Elaine) Cocks of Medicine Hat; along with aunts, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. We will forever cherish his love and spirit for his families’ well-being. A Memorial Service for Doug will take place at Eventide Funeral Chapel, 4820-45 Street, Red Deer, on Friday, May 9, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. It is the families’ wish that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the Canadian Tire Jumpstart, P.O. Box 770, Station K, Toronto, ON, M4P 2V8, or the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 202, 5913-50 Avenue, Red Deer, AB, T4N 4C4, or to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 105, 4807-50 Avenue, Red Deer, AB, T4N 4A5.
