Emmanuel Leslie Ray Gesshe, beloved son of Shannon Rae Gesshe, passed away suddenly in Red Deer, Alberta on Monday, April 20, 2015 at the age of 13 years.

'Manny' was born in Calgary, Alberta on September 13, 2001. He was a beautiful baby boy and his mom's pride and joy. Manny spent his early life in Olds, AB and then Red Deer became his home.

As a young boy Manny loved the outdoors, his chickens, hiking and was a talented swimmer. More recently, Manny enjoyed being part of the 126 Red Deer Sea Cadets where he participated in a variety of activities such as sailing and camping. Manny also took great joy in spending time laughing and playing with his adoring little brother, Malachi.

Manny was in grade 8 at St. Francis of Assissi Middle School where he benefited from a talented and caring staffing team. He also attended St. Mary's Parish where he was confirmed Catholic during the spring of 2014.

Manny is survived by his loving family: mother, Shannon; grandparents, Ray and Lorraine Gesshe; step-father, Douglas Burden; brother, Malachi Burden; uncle Brian Gesshe (Dixie); uncle Todd Gesshe (Kristi) and cousins, Evan and Julia Gesshe.

We are heartbroken by our tragic loss and will love our Manny forever, until we meet again.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Parish in Red Deer with Father Les Drewicki Celebrant on Monday, April 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Emmanuel may be made to 126 Red Deer Sea Cadets (registered charity).
