INGLIS, Grace (Hadden)
Grace passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at the age of 94 years. She was born at the Holy Cross Hospital in Calgary on July 28, 1919 to Gertrude and Herbert Ollive. They lived in Calgary until 1931, then moved to a dairy farm at Priddis. She met her husband Bill Hadden in the Priddis area and married on June 9, 1949. They had two children; John (Heather) Hadden and Barbara Forrester-Yamada (Peter). She is survived by her brother Len (Mae) Ollive, six grandchildren; David (Michelle), Nicole (Travis), Kimberly (Jennifer), Kevin (Kim), Kyle (April), and Kristina (Evan), and five great-grandchildren. Grace was a Nurse’s Aide at Rocky View Hospital from 1964 to 1975. Grace and Bill retired to Red Deer in 1981. Bill passed away March 16, 1994. In 1999, Grace married Walter Inglis and is survived by four step-children and their families. Walter passed away in August of 2011. Grace was a lifetime member for the Volunteers at the Red Deer Regional Hospital. She received the Mayor’s Award in 2007. She also belongs to Royal Purple and a member of Gaetz Memorial United Church. She enjoyed playing cards, board games, and was always up for a game of crib. Grace also had a passion for knitting for others. A Memorial Service will be held at Gaetz Memorial United Church, 4758 Ross Street, Red Deer, on Friday, July 4, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.
