<div itemprop="description">CHRISTENSEN, Idonna Louise<br />May 14, 1925 &ndash; March 22, 2015<br /><br />Idonna Louise Christensen was born in New Dayton, AB, on May 14, 1925, to Tom and Fern Adams. She was the sixth of eight children. Idonna married Leo Christensen on October 20, 1942. They started their family with Dale in 1944, Bruce 1948, David 1953, and Carla in 1963. Leo worked in the oilfield and moved Idonna and the family several times. Taber to Edmonton, then Red Water to Brudenheim. A short time later to Alder Flats and after three months, to our home in Red Deer. They moved to the house on 44 Street in 1956. The house was Idonna&rsquo;s home for 55 years. She moved to Piper Creek Lodge in 2011, then Michener Hill Estendicare in 2012. Idonna was also married to Albert Longprie in April of 2002. Idonna knew heartbreak in her life. She was predeceased by Leo in 1980; her son Dale in 1991; and two daughters-in-law in 1990; her brothers, Milt and Garth; her sisters, Verlyn, Norma, and Barbara; and her second husband Albert in 2006. Idonna is survived by her three children, Bruce (Wendy) and their daughters, Chelsea and Ali; David (Betty) and their children, Curtis (Valerie) and Laura; Carla (Ryan) and their children, Brandi, Kevin (Shauna) and their children, Kyler and Selena; grandson Brett (Wanda) and their children, Jessica, Emily and Brendan, Tamara (Darryl) and their sons, Nicholas (Jamie) and Andreas. Idonna was extremely proud of her family and loved each and everyone equally. She especially loved when everyone came home for Mother&rsquo;s Day and her birthday in May. Idonna is also survived by two sisters, Lois Lastuka of Lethbridge and Hazel Paulsen of Warner whom she treasured. Idonna wished to be remembered for her meticulous back yard, delicious brownies and fudge, and the Christmas dinners made with love. A Funeral Service will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapel, 4820-45 Street, Red Deer, on Friday, March 27, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. <br /></div>
