Jada Akerstrom
September 7, 1984 - May 17, 2016
Jada Lee Akerstrom
Was gifted to us on September 7, l984 in Edmonton and left us peacefully on May 17, 2016 in Red Deer.
Jada will be missed dearly by her parents:
Bridgette Lee Jones Coley
Casey Grant Coley
Clint/Cindy Akerstrom and their children Colton and Chantelle.
Grandparents:
Wes /Jeannette Jones
Fred/Rita Akerstrom
Helen, her caregiver and many uncles, aunts, cousins and precious friends.
Jada attended school in Innisfail, Riverglen and Parkland Class in Red Deer. Jada enjoyed overlooking everyone as they gardened the lovely yard that she lounged in all summer . Jada was always mesmerized by nature especially when she went walking with her dog. Jada took part in many dog shows coaching her mom from the sideline. Occasionally her rotty wanted to visit with her rather than perform for ribbons. Jada was an avid golfer, mind you only riding in the cart as her hair flowed in the wind. Jada was a mermaid at heart, always looked forward to visiting Fairmont hot pools or any pool would do. On rainy or cold winter days Jada enjoyed watching Rachael Ray, City line or action movies. Hockey became very entertaining for her, she cheered Chicago Blackhawks for mom, Montreal Canadians, for Casey and Edmonton Oilers for grandpa. Jada was a gambler. She cheered for whoever would pay her the most for her support . At a younger age , Jada became a model for grandma which developed her taste for for beautiful garments . Jada in turn loved shopping for clothes ending her days with a pina colata and supper at Browns or Earls. Jadas favorite food was crab meat or ribs. Jada was a social butterfly she enjoyed sitting around with friends and relatives. Jadas’ kind heart was mirrored by her contagious smile. Jada will always be our HERO and as life unfolded she was teaching us the priorities in life which was to enjoy the moment and to love unconditionally. Jada was a princess with the determination of a brave soldier. Jada is freed from a wheelchair , seizures and medications.
Jada is dancing in heaven with her nephew Vern, her great-grandma, great-grandpa, and all her relatives. She is telling us to rejoice because she is with the Lord, performing important tasks.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 5508-48A Avenue, Red Deer, on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.
