1928-2015
Margaret Ann Anderson-Walker passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Hospice on October 16, 2015 at the age of 86 years, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Kay (Al) Schmidt, Lyle (Phyllis) Anderson, Jean (John) MacGregor, Donna (Gerry) Stoddart, Wayne (Patti) Anderson, her stepson Kirby (Linda) Walker, 16 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, plus numerous extended family. Margaret was predeceased by husband Lamar Anderson, their son Clifford, and her second husband Bert Walker.
Margaret’s family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the wonderfully caring staff at the Red Deer Hospice, Unit 33 of the Red Deer Hospital, the staff at the Rimbey Hospital, the loving staff at the Eckville Manor House, as well as countless family and friends that have supported Mom and her family through this journey. A memorial service will be held on Monday October 26th, 2015 at 2pm at the Eckville Community Center, 52nd Street and 54th Avenue, Eckville, Alberta.
Memorial donations in Margaret’s memory may be made to the Red Deer Hospice Society, 99 Arnott Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta T4R 3S6 or to a charity of your choice.
