He grew up and went to school in Makwa, Saskatchewan. Mitch was a free spirit and mischievous in his youth, which sometimes got him into trouble with the teachers. He met his true love Myrtle at a wedding dance. They began their courtship and were married in 1979. They were gifted with four beautiful daughters: Angie, Lindsay, Chasity and Kelsey. He loved being a father and would often do anything he could for his girls. He became a grandpa to Loki in 2004. He loved building things and spending time with Loki. Mitch spent his career as a 2nd class power engineer. During the past ten years, he worked overseas in many different countries. He enjoyed working with different cultures and even learned to speak and understand two foreign languages. He had a gift for learning new languages. He would do anything for his wife… if she could dream it, he could create it. He was a master at creating posters and spreadsheets for his work and for his family. After years of dreaming about owning a Harley, in 2013, he fulfilled that dream.
