Richard Hayhoe
July 30, 1948 - December 22, 2016
It is with profound sadness, we announce that Richard M. Hayhoe of Red Deer passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the age of 68 years.
Richard will be sadly missed by his loving mother, Sylvia; his loving wife, Bernice; son, Michael; cousin, John (Kathie) Fox of Toronto, ON as well as extended family in Manitoba and friends from all over.
He was predeceased by his father, Milton in 1998, uncle, Fred Fox; aunts, Helen Fox and Olive Fox; grandmother, Christina Bergstrom, dear friend, Charlie Olson; father-in-law, Mike Perih and by brother-in-law, Ernie Perih as by grandparents, Fredrick Steven and Mary Ann Hayhoe.
Richard was a devoted member of Kenilworth #29 Lodge, Keystone & Lebanon Chapters, Order of the Eastern Star and the Red Deer Shrine Club. He served as chaplain in all of these Lodges and Order. In earlier years he had been a Cub scout Leader. Richard thoroughly enjoyed his time at the family cottage as it was a break from everything. He enjoyed nature, especially his cat Nanny, she was his comfort during his illness. Richard played drums in many bands during his time.
Those who met and knew Richard will remember his humour, loving kindness, his love for music and people.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Red Deer Shrine Club for Crippled Children, Gd Stn Postal Box Ctr, Red Deer, AB T4N 5E6.
